Nearly Rs 1200 cr capex in next two yrs: Visa Steel

Visa Steel organised a tele conference to discuss its Q4 and FY07 result and its future guidance. The concall was hosted by Citigate Dewe Rogerson. Key highlights of concall are as follows:

The company is in the process of commissioning 50 MW power plant
0.5 million tonne steel plant is also being commissioned
3000 tonne coke per annum capacity plant has already been completed and the rest 1000 tonne coke per annum will be commissioned in Q2 of FY08
The company is also setting up a 50000 tonne ferochrome plant. its in final stage
In FY08, 3 units sponge iron, power plant and ferrochrome plant will be commissioned
Operating profit rose by 88% in FY07
PBIDT increase by 50% in Q4
PBT rose by 72% in FY07 and PAT was up 65% at Rs 205 million
Cash profit of the company was at Rs 93 mn
Outlook for next three years is very good, according the company management

The company procures iron ore from market at Rs 2000 per tonne
It source coking coal from Australia

In ferrochrome, the chrome content would be 65%

Its capacity utilisation is at 100%

The company plans Rs 1800 crore capex, out of Rs 621 crore capex is already done as on 31, march 07

Rest about Rs 1200 crore capex in pipeline for next two years

Average cost of debt is Rs 9%

Total debt on the book is Rs 425 crore

Debt:Equity is at 65%:35%
