ITC leads gainers in 'A' group on BSE

ITC soared 8.93% to Rs 165.85 and topped gainers in ‘A’ group shares on BSE. India's biggest cigarette maker gained on speculation that a better-than-expected increase in cigarette sales may boost the company’s profit this year. ITC will report Q1 June 2007 results on 27 July 2007.
Mastek climbed up 8% to Rs 305.15 and stood second among top gainers in ‘A’ group. Its net profit jumped 108.16% to Rs 102.54 crore in the year ended June 2007 over year ended June 2006. Sales rose 28.82% to Rs 498.19 crore in FY 2007 over FY 2006. Mastek declared FY 2007 results on 19 July 2007.
Pidilite Industries rose 5.18% to Rs 146.20. It was third biggest gainer in BSE's A group shares today. The company's net profit rose 53% to Rs 58 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006. Total income rose 28.61% to Rs 378.4 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006. The company declared its Q1 June 2007 results after market hours yesterday, 24 July 2007.
Thermax jumped 4.76% to Rs 630.30 and ranked fourth among top gainers in ‘A’ group. Thermax's net profit soared 103.37% to Rs 56.01 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006. Total income surged 105.45% to Rs 676.3 crore in Q1 June 2007. The company unveiled Q1 results during trading hours today.
Housing Development and Infrastructure (HDIL) rose 3.85% to Rs 580.10. It was fifth biggest gainer in BSE's A group shares. The HDIL scrip had debuted on bourses yesterday, 24 July 2007. On that day, it had ended at 12% premium at Rs 558.60 on BSE versus IPO price of Rs 500.
