Asian markets trading higher; Hang Seng up 244 points

Asian indices were mostly higher early today, with Japanese shares gaining on bargain buying in banks such as Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group and Mizuho Financial Group.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng surged 1.12% or 244.40 points at 22,152.39.
Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted advanced 1.57% or 139.51 points at 9,001.82.
Japan's Nikkei gained 0.59% or 99.36 points at 17,021.13.
Singapore's Straits Times rose 2.15% or 71.06 points at 3,373.07.
South Korea's Seoul Composite was up 1.59% or 29.63 points at 1,889.45.
