Lanco Infratech leads gainers in ‘A’ group

Lanco Infratech jumped 12.5% to Rs 259.70 extending its post-result surge. It was the top gainer from BSE’s A group shares. The stock has risen 24% in a short while from Rs 209.30 on 26 July 2007, after it reported robust Q1 June 2007 results after trading hours on 26 July 2007.
Lanco’s consolidated net profit rose 1103.9% to Rs 51.29 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006.
GMR Infrastructure, a Rs 1000-crore Bangalore-based infrastructure company with a focus on airports, power and roads, rose 8% to Rs 832.20 after its unit developing a new international airport in Hyderabad selected Apollo Hospitals to set up a medical centre at the upcoming passenger terminal. It was the second biggest gainer in BSE’s A group shares.
Aditya Birla Nuvo rose 6.8% to Rs 1,493.70. It was third biggest gainer in BSE’s A group shares. Early this week, the company reported strong Q1 June 2007 results. The company’s consolidated net profit vaulted 46% to Rs 90.82 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006.
i-flex solutions gained 6.5% to Rs 2,169. It was fourth biggest gainer in BSE’s A group shares
Exide Industries gained 6.5% to Rs 58.15, extending its post-result surge. It was fifth biggest gainer in BSE’s A group shares. From Rs 46.40 on 18 July 2007, the stock has gained 25% in a short while. Exide’s net profit spurted 84% to Rs 70.11 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006. The company announced the results on 20 July 2007.
