Lanco Infratech leads gainers in 'A' group

Lanco Infratech gained 4.12% to Rs 282.80 and topped gainers in BSE’s A group shares. Lanco's consolidated net profit rose 1103.9% to Rs 51.29 crore on 135.42% rise in sales to Rs 591.44 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006. The company announced the results on 26 July 2007.

Mastek rose 2.72% to Rs 166.45 and stood second among top gainers in A group. Its net profit jumped 108.16% to Rs 102.54 crore on 28.82% increase in sales to Rs 498.19 crore in FY 2007 over FY 2006. Mastek declared FY 2007 results on 19 July 2007.

Dredging Corporation of India rose 2.21% to Rs 550.05. It came third among top gainers in A group. The company’s net profit rose 62.17% to Rs 53.92 crore on 83.90% increase in sales to Rs 194.20 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006. The company declared its Q1 results on 30 July 2007.

Asahi India Glass rose 2.11% to Rs 109.10 and stood fourth among top gainers in A group. Its net profit surged 316% to Rs 20.72 crore on 30.21% rise in sales to Rs 225 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006. It declared its Q1 June 2007 result on 25 July 2007.

Asian Paints advanced 1.77% to Rs 939.05 and came fifth among top gainers in A group. Earlier on 30 July 2007, the company’s board had approved setting up a paint manufacturing plant at Haryana.
