United Phosphorus leads gainers in 'A' group

United Phosphorus jumped 4.12% to Rs 319.50 and topped BSE’s in BSE's 'A' group shares The company had declared its Q1 June 2007 results yesterday, 31 July 2007, wherein it reported 217.19% surge in net profit to Rs 29.53 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006. Sales rose 16.32% to Rs 336.13 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006.
Ingersoll Rand flared up 2.25% to Rs 345 and stood second among top gainers in ‘A’ group. Ingersoll Rand's net profit rose 1796% to Rs 158.9 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006 boosed by a huge exceptional income of Rs 140.50 crore. Total income rose 9.39% to Rs 131.13 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006. It declared the results before market hours yesterday, 31 July 2007, when the stock had soared 12.02% to Rs 337.40.
IPCA Labs scaled up 1.76% to Rs 715 and came third among top gainers in ‘A’ group.
Nestle India moved up 1.15% to Rs 1,203 and stood fourth among top gainers in ‘A’ group. Its net profit rose 18.09% to Rs 95.69 crore in Q2 June 2007 over Q2 June 2006. Sales moved up 23.15% to Rs 838.88 crore Q2 June 2007 over Q2 June 2006. The results were announced after market hours on Tuesday, 31 July 2007.
National Aluminum Company (Nalco) rose 1.06% to Rs 265.80 and stood fifth among top gainers in ‘A’ group. Nalco reported 28% fall in net profit at Rs 446.6 crore in the Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006. Total income decreased 17.38% to Rs 1296.2 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006. Nalco declared the results on 30 July 2007.
