Adani Enterprises leads gainers in 'A' group

Commodities trading firm Adani Enterprises jumped 11.56% to Rs 381.60 and it topped the gainers in BSE’s A group shares. Its net profit rose 83.1% to Rs 45.43 crore on 14.7% increase in sales to Rs 1940.87 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006.

Hinduja TMT scaled up 11.23% to Rs 44.35. It was the second biggest gainer in A group. Its net profit had fallen 93.3% to Rs 11.20 crore on 79.8% decline in sales to Rs 16.14 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q1 June 2006.

Neyveli Lignite Corporation flared up 9.28% to Rs 83.60 and secured third position among top gainers in A group.

Century Enka, which is promoted by B.K. Birla, spurted 8.79% to Rs 128.75. It came fourth among top gainers in A group.

Software firm CMC gained 8.48% to Rs 1130.30 and it was the fifth biggest gainer in A group. CMC’s net profit rose 13.14% to Rs 22.12 crore on 13.69% decline in sales to Rs 215.47 crore in Q1 June 2007 over Q4 March 2007.
