Market ended near days high ahead of crucial Fed meeting

Market ended near days high ahead of crucial Fed meeting. Market rallies towards the second half to end day strong. Sensex went up 165 pts at 15669; Nifty up 52 pts at 4546.

CNX Midcap Index up 1.3%, BSE Small-cap Index up 1.6%. BSE Bank Index up 2.5%; ICICI Bank up 3.3%, SBI up 3%. BSE Oil & Gas Index up 1.5%; RIL up 1.5%, ONGC up 1.75%, GAIL up 3.6%. Index Gainers; Bharti Airtel up 2.2%, MTNL up 1.7%, Siemens up 3%. BSE IT, Healthcare Indices ended in the red.


Real Estate, Banking & cement stocks hogged the limelight in mid-cap stocks. Small/ Mid-cap metal stocks (Rohit Ferro, MSP Steel) continue to buzz. NSE Advance Decline ratio was at 8:3.


Total market turnover at Rs 61580.48 cr Vs Rs 49815.65 cr on Monday. New Listing: Nagreeka Capital closes at upper circuit of 20% at Rs 114 Vs listing price of Rs 114 (base price Rs 95)
