The equity shares of Insecticides India and MIC Electronics will stay in limelight, as their shares will debut on the bourses today.

Also the shares of McDowell Holdings (formerly known as McDowell India Sprits), will get listed on the exchanges, pursuant to the scheme of arrangement, in which the investment business of McDowell & Company (now known as United Sprits) was transferred to and vested in McDowell Holdings. MHL allotted 1 equity share of Rs 10 each, for every 5 equity shares of Rs 10 each held in USL.

Britannia Industries’ net profit rose 43.17% to Rs 39.80 crore in the quarter ended March 2007 as against Rs 27.80 crore in the quarter ended March 2006. Sales rose 31.98% to Rs 599.20 crore (Rs 454.00 crore).

The net profit declined 26.50% to Rs 107.60 crore in the year ended 31 March 2007. Sales rose 28.28% to Rs 2199.30 crore in FY 2007.

Thermax reported net profit of Rs 70 crore in Q4 March 2007 as compared to Rs 42 crore in Q4 March 2006. Net sales increased Rs 818 crore from Rs 476 crore.

Savita Chemicals reported 10.51% rise in net profit to Rs 13.98 crore in the quarter ended March 2007 as against Rs 12.65 crore in the quarter ended March 2006. Sales rose 30.68% to Rs 230.77 crore (Rs 176.59 crore).

The net profit 26.09% to Rs 47.27 crore in the year ended March 2007 as against Rs 37.49 crore in the year ended March 2006. Sales rose 34.34% to Rs 812.88 crore (Rs 605.10 crore).

Action Construction Equipments posted 116.36% spurt in net profit to Rs 7.01 crore in the quarter ended March 2007 as against Rs 3.24 crore in the quarter ended March 2006. Sales rose 84.40% to Rs 83.48 crore (Rs 45.27 crore).

The net profit rose 57.05% to Rs 19.93 crore in the year ended March 2007 from Rs 12.69 crore in the year ended March 2006. Sales rose 48.04% to Rs 245.28 crore (Rs 165.68 crore).

Crompton Greaves, Engineers India, Madras Cement, Tata Power, Birla Corporation, Easun Reyrolle, Rain Calcining, Tata Chemicals, Welspun India and UCAL Fuel will announce their March 2007 quarter results today.
