Nifty July 2007 futures at sharp discount
The Nifty June 2007 futures settled at 4254, a discount of 9.05 points to spot closing of 4,263.95, while the Nifty July 2007 futures settled at 4228.70, a sharp discount of 35.25 points compared to spot closing of 4,263.95.
The NSE F&O turnover rose to Rs 56,258.84 crore as against Rs 52,571.16 crore on Wednesday, 26 June 2007.
Volatility is expected to heighten tomorrow as June 2007 derivatives contracts expire on Thursday, 28 June 2007.
GMR Infrastructures June 2007 futures settled at premium, at 702.50, compared to the spot closing of Rs 699. It was the top traded contract with turnover of Rs 2423.06 crore.
SBI June 2007 futures settled at a sharp premium, at 1464, compared to the spot closing of Rs 1447.50.
Reliance Capital June 2007 futures settled at a premium, at 1093.40, compared to the spot closing of Rs 1088.
In the cash market, the S&P CNX Nifty declined 21.75 points or 0.51% at 4,263.95. It had struck an all time high of 4,362.95, on 4 June 2007.
