Finolex Cables leads gainers in 'A' group

Finolex Cables spurted 6.98% to Rs 98.80 and topped gainers in BSE's ‘A’ group shares. As per media reports, Finolex Industries is set to sell 78 acres of land in Pune for over Rs 300 crore. This includes 12 acres of Finolex Cables
DLF jumped 5.78% to Rs 645.40 and stood second among top gainers in ‘A’ group. DLF announced during market hours today, 18 July 2007, that it had bagged a project worth Rs 6,000-crore from the Delhi Development Authority for design to develop an international convention center in New Delhi.
CESC spurted 4.80% to Rs 500 and came third among top gainers in ‘A’ group. The company has fixed a meeting of shareholders on 27 July 2007, for considering the scheme of amalgamation of Pathik Foods with the company.
Pidilite Industries gained 4.72% to Rs 155.35 and stood fourth among top gainers in ‘A’ group. On 10 July 2007, The company said it entered into an agreement for acquisition of plant, machinery, technology, patent and trademark of an international specialty chemical company.
Kotak Mahindra Bank gained 3.54% to Rs 707.45 and it came fifth among top gainers in ‘A’ group. The private sector bank unveils June 2007 quarter results on 24 July 2007.
