Market reached all time high on Thursday. Nifty, Sensex, CNX Midcap, and BSE Small Cap closed at all time high. Sensex was up 1.2% at 15092 while Nifty was up 1.34% at 4446. CNX Midcap Index was up 1.5% while BSE Small-cap Index was up 1.74%.

Metal Index outperformed and was up by 3.34%, Hindalco was up 3.1%, Sterlite was up 5.3% and SAIL was up 5.3%. Index gainers were Reliance Energy, up 6.9%, HDFC Bank, up 4.6%, BHEL, up 4.2% and Bajaj Auto, up 3% on result day. NSE Advance Decline ratio stood at 7:3. Total market turnover was at Rs 62132.03 crore as against Rs 50686.13 crore on Wednesday. Rupee was down by 29 bps at 40.4975 (was down 50 bps during the day).
